I am a research scientist at Teknowledge Corporation and an adjunct research professor at the University of Southern California (USC). I received a Doctorate degree (2000) and a Master of Science degree (1996) in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, under the mentorship of Dr. Barry Boehm. I also received a Master of Engineering degree (1994) in Informatics from the Johannes Kepler University, Austria under the mentorship of Dr. Gerhard Chroust. My focus of interest is centered around software modeling and includes model analysis, synthesis, transformation, simulation, and traceability.
My industrial experience includes companies such as Teknowledge Corporation in Marina Del Rey, USA [since June 2000], Rational Software Corporation in Vancouver, Canada [Oct. 1997-Dec. 1997], HDVA (Austrian Army Software Development) in Vienna, Austria [Feb. 1995-Aug. 1995], Lead Software Developer of FLUP (for Upper-Austrian Veterinarians) [part time 1992-1997], and others. I have been an associate instructor for a graduate-level course (software architecture) and an instructor for an undergraduate course (programming languages).
I have served as a reviewer for journals such as the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE), IEEE Software, the Journal of Automated Software Engineering (JASE), the Requirements Engineering Journal (REJ), the Journal for Software and Systems Modeling (SoSyM), the Journal on Information and Software Technology (IST), the Journal of Systems and Software (JSS), and the Journal for Computer Standards and Interfaces (CS&I). I have also served as program committee member for several Automated Software Engineering Conferences (ASE), Euromicro Conferences, and over a dozen workshops. In addition, I have served as conference committee member for the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE99), several Automated Software Engineering Conference (ASE04,05), and many workshops.
I am a member of the
