Biography
Jo Ann Lane is currently a USC CSSE Principal supporting software and systems engineering and research activities. In this capacity, she is currently working on a cost model to estimate the effort associated with system-of-system architecture definition and integration as well as supporting efforts to integrate various CSE software system cost models. Prior to her research work, Ms. Lane was a key technical member of Science Applications International Corporation's (SAIC) Software and Systems Integration Group, Her areas of expertise include program management, software process definition and implementation, and metrics collection and analysis. She has over 28 years of software system architecting, software engineering, and software development experience on a variety of projects that include distributed information management systems, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) integration, web applications, health care/telemedicine applications, command, control, communications, and intelligence (C3I) systems, real-time signal processing, and aircraft simulation programs.
