Directed Research Report Guidelines
1-2 pages: Project Overview. Identify and briefly describe the company
you worked for (e.g., its size and major product lines), the project you worked
on (e.g., its size, scope, objectives, and technical approach), and your
particular assignment.
5-10 pages: Product Engineering Challenges
and Insights. Summarize the 2-3 most
significant product engineering challenges you had in working on the project,
and the main corresponding insights you had for dealing with the challenges.
5-10 pages: Process Engineering Challenges
and Insights; Relations to USC MBASE Guidelines. Similarly summarize the 2-3 most significant process challenges
and insights, and relate them to the USC CS577 MBASE project guidelines. These
can be found at
