Agreement
The artifacts you are developing in USC Computer Science courses CSCI 577a, CSCI 577b and CSCI 665 involves the use of software tools, components, processes, and guidelines copyrighted by the USC Center for Software Engineering. Therefore, the Center for Software Engineering copyrights in the name of USC all artifacts developed in those courses. The intent of the Center’s copyright is not to prohibit people from developing commercial products based on those artifacts, but to ensure that all interested parties have an equal opportunity to do so.
Rational, Inc. and Microsoft have permitted the Center for Software Engineering to provide you with the ability to download and install, for your personal use during the course, several Rational and Microsoft tools, if you agree to uninstall and remove your copies at the end of the course, and agree not to resell your copies of any tools furnished for your use in the class and thereafter.
By signing a copy of this agreement below, you acknowledge that you are aware of all the above conditions and agree to them. You also acknowledge the importance of USC’s academic integrity standards (with respect to plagiarism, referencing others’ work, etc.), and agree to abide by them.
