Background:
USC ISD recently acquired Documentum software to manage its digital assets (digital photographs, sound recordings and text) we are working with them to configure and customize the software. When working with them it became clear that it is difficult to set system defaults for the contributor screen (data entry) that everyone agrees upon.

Problem:
Users would like to be able to change default settings for their data entry screens in order to facilitate data entry. Some like tabs, others like to scroll. Some want to see everything, others like to be able to hide fields. Some want to see large thumbnails, others like small thumbnails. They would like to be able to change things easily and save those changes.

Desired Deliverables:
Design document and prototypes (non-functional) to have a better understanding of the amount of effort that is involved in creating this and to clarify requirements.
